Our new PRIVATE BOAT option for our half day rafting trips on the Gallatin, provides you with the reassurance and guarantee that your group will have a raft to yourselves with one of our amazing guides while on a trip with our other guests.

The trip is about 3 hours, but varies depending on water levels and the section you choose to raft.

Scenic means there is little to no whitewater on this section; great for timid/non-swimmers, birders and folks that aren't looking for splashes.
Less Challenging is our intro to whitewater section; great for families and first timers!
More Challenging includes the Mad Mile, the wildest whitewater on the Gallatin; great for seasoned rafters or adrenaline junkies.

Our office is located just minutes from the end of the trip – so you can get right back into dry clothes and get comfortable. These boats seat up to 6 participants.

Note: Our trips require a minimum of two boats to run.

Water Level Restrictions (May 1 - July 15):

Water Level: High water levels may restrict MWW from running the Class IV stretch of river, in that case we will adjust the trip as needed. Flows are unpredictable during the spring and safety of our guests is our top priority.

Age Restrictions: High water levels may restrict people 17 and under from participating in the Class IV stretch of river (approx. 1 mile of 10 mile trip). This is for the safety of our guests. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Rafting Restrictions:

  • All rafters must fit into a 56 inch chest size personal flotation device.
  • All rafters must be in reasonably good physical condition. People with health concerns should consult a physician prior to booking a trip.
  • Pregnant women are not permitted on trips.
  • All participants must demonstrate the ability to follow directions from the guides before being allowed on the trip.
